Challenge: completed!

On July 6th, 2017, I rode 120 miles in one day from the SCHI school in Lakewood, NJ to Camp SCHI in the Pocono Mountains. (Check it out on Strava!) It was the craziest challenge I have ever accepted, but I did it - to help those who face a challenge every day on the year - the Camp SCHI campers.

Camp SCHI is a unique camping experience for children and adults with special needs from the Lakewood community and beyond. In an idyllic setting in the mountains, campers are treated to a magical summer filled with opportunities for fun, learning and growth. Families are provided with a respite from the all-encompassing task of caring for a child with special needs, secure in the knowledge that their children are receiving the best possible care.

This years SCHI Challenge is to raise funds for Camp SCHI's new state-of-the-art gym. Camp SCHI's gym will include numerous therapy devices and equipment needed for the special needs campers to continue their year-round therapy in camp.

Please join me in my challenge by helping me reach my personal fundraising goal of $1,800. To participate, please donate here or mail donations made out to Camp SCHI with my name in the memo.

Thank you, and tizku l'mitzvos.
